Rinnai SENSEI Code 71
Gas solenoid valve fault. The board is not seeing the gas solenoid valve respond. Rinnai's first check is deliberately mundane: the single DIP switch on the PC board must be in the OFF position, because in the ON position it electrically shuts off the main gas solenoid and produces exactly this code. After that it is harness checks, resistance and voltage at connector D, and then replacing the gas valve.
