Rinnai SENSEI Code 65
Water flow control valve fault. The water flow servo — the motorised valve metering flow through the heater — is not doing what the board tells it. Rinnai adds a specific warning: the servo has failed to close during the bath fill function, and the instruction is to turn off the water flow and stop using bath fill immediately. On this generation code 65 is the whole story for flow control. The SENSEI RX splits the job: 65 stays with the main servo and the bypass device gets its own number, 66. The Non-SENSEI range puts the bypass at code 05 instead. Same component, three different numbers across one manufacturer.

Because bath fill is an unattended function. Rinnai's instruction to immediately turn off the water flow and discontinue the bath fill controller exists so an unattended tub does not keep filling.
