Rinnai RH180 Hybrid Code 07
Circulation flow below 2.1 GPM. The pump is moving water between the tank and the tankless engine, but more slowly than the RH180 wants. This is a warning, not a shutdown: Rinnai states the water heater will keep operating with 07 showing. The manual's own detection section says a flashing 07 means the water filter is dirty or restricting flow, and asks you to clean it as soon as possible rather than immediately. If the code stays after the filter is clean, Rinnai points at the pump.

What you can safely check
- Power the unit off at the controller and let the display go blank.
- Close the cold water supply valve at the heater and relieve the pressure before opening anything.
- Remove the lower enclosure screws and take the pump enclosure off, bottom edge first.
- Pull the water filter, rinse the debris out of it and refit it — Rinnai's replacement part number is 107000032 if it is damaged.
- Restore water and power, then run a hot tap and watch the display.
- If 07 is still flashing with a clean filter, contact a qualified service provider — Rinnai says that points at the pump, not the filter.

What is the difference between code 07 and code 63?
They are the same fault at two thresholds. 07 is circulation dropping below 2.1 GPM and the unit keeps heating; 63 is circulation below 1.3 GPM and the unit stops. Rinnai's manual treats 07 as "clean the filter soon" and 63 as "clean the filter now".
Does a Rinnai tankless heater have a code 07?
Not with this meaning. Rinnai's general diagnostic document lists 07 only for the RH180 — there is no circulation flow rate code on the tankless series because there is no tank to circulate through.
