Venturi blockage. Debris has built up in the venturi — the throat between the fan and the gas valve where air and gas mix. Rinnai's checks start outside the unit: the condensate drain line and the whole intake and exhaust path, including the vent termination, then the venturi assembly itself, which has to be removed from the fan motor with the gas valve to be cleaned. After cleaning, the SENSEI RX needs a specific reset sequence on the PC board before it will run normally again.
