Rheem Tankless Gas Code 1L
Lime build-up in the heat exchanger. A warning, not a shutdown: the control board has detected lime scale inside the heat exchanger. Rheem's instruction is that the unit must be drained and flushed to prevent permanent damage, and that the flush may need repeating. Can I keep using the heater with 1L showing?
Rheem shows it as a warning, so the unit keeps running — but the warning exists because the damage accumulates while you ignore it. Scale damage is the classic warranty exclusion across every brand.
